Limited Edition Prints:

Ron Holland is collaborating with artist Nevil Swinchatt to create a limited edition series of high quality prints presenting a selection of Holland's best known superyacht designs, beginning with the most high profile of them all - the 245 foot composite sloop Mirabella V.

Each of the yachts will be profiled with a chart of her most familiar cruising grounds as a backdrop. Swinchatt has also incorporated some of Holland's original concept sketches for these yachts into the prints. Each print will be signed by both the artist and Ron Holland.

Swinchatt's Ron Holland Design series is launched as Holland begins a celebration of his 30 years in the yacht design business. His Eygthene won him the World Quarter Ton Championship in Cowes in 1973 and he established his design studio in Cork, Ireland soon after this.

It is appropriate that Joseph V. Vittoria, the owner of Mirabella V which will launch during Holland's thirtieth year in the business, was the first recipient of a print. An artist's proof of Mirabella V was presented to him during a media visit to the yacht under construction in Southampton in November.

Swinchatt moved to Ireland in 2001, having worked in Papua New Guinea for the previous fifteen years. He quickly established a reputation in Ireland for producing high quality, original limited edition prints depicting the natural sights and scenes of West Cork, as well as undertaking commissions for individual clients.

"Teaming up with a Designer from a different discipline and of Ron Holland's stature has to make for a dynamic and creative environment." says Swinchatt. "What's been fun in developing this idea of a series of limited edition prints, is creating images that are both true to the aesthetics of Ron's concepts whilst being accurate to the engineering design.  It has been a privilege to work with Ron's unique combination of experience, skill and sense of humour."

"The opportunity to collaborate with an artist of Nevil Swinchatt's talent encouraged me to embark on this special and personal new venture." says Holland. "The quality of the images reinforces the uniqueness of the designs I have chosen for this series."
